Various colors are modified in the locator_map.xml configuration file. Open it in any text editor and find the following parameters:

name_color="ffffff"
name_shadow_color="000000"
name_font_size = "11"

borders_color = "ffffff"
 
abbrevation_color = "ffffff"
abbrevation_color_hover = "f5f5f5"

The first 3 parameters set colors of labels displayed when you hover over some region on the map. In this particular case, the text is white countered with black. The third parameter sets the size of each label in pixels.

The borders_color parameter sets the border color of each region.

The rest two parameters define the colors of state or countries abbreviation in the normal and the highlighted states. (only for USA Map Locator 4.0)
