05. How to add or edit a pin? (video)
The easiest way is to use a visual WYSIWYG editor.
Open the preview of the map using the locator_start.html file in your purchased zip file. In the preview, scroll down until you see the WYSIWYG map editor.
To add a pinpoint, type its name to the box at the right side and click the map where you want the pin to be.
To edit a pin, click it so it would become highlighted. You will see the properties of the pin at the right side. Properties include the name the size, the color, the style and the associated URL. After changing any of these values, click the “Copy XML to clipboard” button. Now open the data.xml in any plain-text editor and paste the code to the data.xml file replacing the existing contents. Save data.xml and upload it back to your website.
You can use drag-n-drop to move pins over the map.
To delete a pin, select it and click the “Delete pinpoint” button.
